THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ZEST MODEL OF TATA MOTORS
It is based on the same X1 platform as the Vista, and like the Bolt hatchback has been redesigned and reengineered and is a promising prospect. Its silhouette is almost like that of a Vista. Some of the body panel has been changed and the car now has a sleeker appearance with an aggresive nose, a heavily sculpted bumper, stretched headlights with projectors, a mild power bulge on the bonnet and LED daytime running lights. It has a back strip on the running board and the lower side of the bumper, which reduces its bulk. The rest design is appealing with its smooth flowing windscreen into the stubby foot and wraparound tail lights. It stands proud on its 16 inch wheels.
ADDED SPECIFICATIONS
Apart from its classy sporty look, it also has other features the likes of the 5-inch touchscreen HARMAN entertainment system, tasteful upholstery, bigger 16-inch alloys, Bluetooth phone pairing and several other appealing features the likes of them. This car has a boot space of around 250-300 liters, which is effective enough to carry about 3 to 4 suitcases.
THE ENGINE
It is powered by the newly developed advanced 1.2 litre Revotron engine with 4 cylinder which churns out the maximum power of around 83.83bhp at 5000 rpm and a peak torque output of around 140 N at 1750 to 3000 rpm. It also has a 1.3 litre quadrajet diesel engine, which will displace 90 PS Power with 200 NM torque in manual transmission.
THE SAFETY FACTOR- THE BRAKES
The engineers has declared that the Zest is geared with TA65, with Manual transmission, ventilated disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear with Dual Path Independent McPherson strut with antiroll bar front suspension and Independent 3-link McPherson strut with antiroll bar rear suspension thus ensuring the safety of the riders.
